Longing for More (Life)

No matter what other things you could fault people for wanting too much of—money, gadgets, cars, houses, position, learning, opportunities, respect—you can never fault them for wanting more of life. None of us would think it obscene or greedy for this or that person to ask to live—live longer, live happier despite problems, live in the best way we know is possible, that way which advertisements try their hardest to evoke and promise. What does that say about our ache for eternal life?
